This is why you should use a friction primer and lanyard.....that way you control when it goes off.....

Fun video! Just a couple of quick pointers (from a fellow cannoneer)...

1) When you're using the ramrod (worm, sponge, whatever), always hold it with both thumbs pointing away from the muzzle. That way, if the cannon goes off, it blows the rod out of your hands (instead of snapping your hands off at the wrist) @.@

2) I really, really hope you were wearing earplugs...
