Security: Check Login Pages Carefully
IMPORTANT: When logging into Friendster, make sure the URL for the login page is one of the following two:
To find the URL, look at the upper part of your browser in the address bar. If you see a URL that is NOT one of the two listed here, do NOT enter you login information.
Click "log out" which is at the top right of the page. Then click "log in" > check to make sure the URL is one that we’ve listed here and then login to your account.
If you see any suspicious login pages or are asked to login to your account (even though you are already logged in) report them to our Help Department.

New - What are Testimonials and Comments?
You can write and post a Testimonial or Comment to another user’s page if they’ve allowed you to do so via their settings. You can also customize Testimonials/Comments with HTML, CSS, and embedded images & video! The maximum characters allowed per Testimonial/Comment is 1000 and you can post a maximum of 200 Testimonials/Comments per 24 hours. Also, you can only post 20 comments to a single user’s page in 24 hrs.
To avoid spamming, we have set the default so that anyone can submit a Testimonial/Comment for you, but only your friends will be auto-approved to show up on your profile. You can change these settings by going to your "Account Settings" page and choosing "Always" to approve Testimonials/Comments automatically as they are added. You can also select "No One" & "Never" to restrict Testimonials/Comments from being submitted.
New - CAN’T LEAVE COMMENT: YOU’VE REACHED THE "DAILY LIMIT"
You may leave up to 200 comments daily (this is to prevent spamming). The count for leaving comments is reset every 24 hours. If you are seeing a "you’ve reached your daily limit" for sending comments message please log out of your Friendster account (click the log out link at top right of any page) > log back into your account and try leaving a comment. If that fails, try again in 24 hours (when your count will reset). We apologize for any inconvenience.
New - Why are comments and testimonials a combined feature?
We have received a lot of feedback about merging testimonials and comments. We hear you loud and clear and we are rolling this out now. The new module will keep all historical testimonials and comments and arrange them in date order. Remember, you always have complete control of your testimonials and comments. You can edit them, choose who can leave them, and whether you would like to auto-approve them. Please keep the feedback coming our way!

This is a transient graph server issue we are working on and will have fixed ASAP. Please try holding down your shift key and click the refresh button on your browser.
How does converting over to the NEW profile impact my current page?
By selecting the NEW profile layout, you will benefit from a cleaner and more extensible profile design. You will also benefit from new product features designed with the NEW profile in mind. Your friends will be able to more readily locate recent updates to your page, enjoy media content you wish to share and browse your page contents more easily
We have worked hard to ensure that as much of your current design is supported in the NEW profile layout. You are still able to customize a good portion of the CSS which controls your page design as well as take advantage of a simplified method of adding an image to your background. All user profiles will be transitioned to the new profile page on 1/7/07. If you would like to personally save your CSS from the existing profile page (if you haven’t yet converted to the new profile), please do so before that time.

For example: If you send one person 20 comments, you can send 9 other people 20 comments also in a 24 hours period.

Why is my Friendster Group growing so quickly?
Dear Friendster Group Ownerc,
You may have seen an increase in activity within your Friendster Group (if you haven’t, you probably will soon).
Why is this the case? Well, we’ve significantly upgraded Groups and have added Groups to the Updates section on everyone's homepage. So now, when activity happens in your group – new members, new posts, and new announcements – it appears on every group member’s homepage. And, millions of Friendster members can also subscribe to Group Updates either daily or weekly via email – so your group activity is likely being emailed to group members as well. Toreceive Group Updates by email, simply click on "Settings" at the top right of any Friendster page, click on the second tab called "Notification Settings," and set "Group Updates" to either daily or weekly. Group Updates default to weekly.
Have you received a HOAX message like this? "FRIENDSTER IS TOO CROWDED=ALLEN SMITH"
If you have been forwarded a hoax chain letter from a non-existent Allen Smith in regard to Friendster becoming too crowded and deleting accounts, ignore it. This is a hoax that has been around for nearly two years. Please tell your friends to stop forwarding this hoax announcement. Friendster is not closing. Friendster will make any announcements to members in the alert section of your home page.
Who can view my full profile?
This is determined by your Account Settings, under a setting called "Who can view my full profile?". The settings are as follows:
My Friends (also known as 1st degree friends) - These are the people you have directly added as friends to your Friendster profile. Choosing this setting means that only these people will see your full profile. Other members will only see a mini profile (very limited information). Non members that find you in a search will also see limited information.
Two degrees (friends of friends) - These are the friends of people connected to you as 1st degree friends (but not directly connected to you). Choosing this setting means that both your friends and your friend's friends will be able to see your full profile. Other members will only see a mini profile (very limited information). Non members that find you in a search will also see limited information.
Anyone - This is just what it says. Anyone online that comes across your profile will see your entire profile. This means that people that are not registered with Friendster or logged-in to Friendster will be able to view your full profile. In order to utilize Friendster communication features such as messaging, registration or log-in is required.
